Physical address
Address that univocally identifies each device installed in a KNX installation
PIR (sensor)
Passive Infra Red (PIR), sensor used in bus devices to detect movement of people in a monitoring zone inside or outside buildings. PIR-based movement and presence sensors automatically switch on and off lights allowing to save energy and extend the useful life of lighting sources

Group of application programs for ETS made available by the manufacturers of KNX devices (see also application program, ETS)
PROFINET
Process Field Net: open source, Ethernet based (IEEE 802.xx) standard communication protocol, suitable for data exchange between field devices in industral and process automation applications. The standard is supported by PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI) association
