Main Features

Delégo Server is the Ekinex supervision system for installations based on KNX technology. It enables the management of building functions via Delégo Panels and the Delégo APP, available free of charge on the Apple and Google stores. Control is possible both locally and remotely through connection to the Ekinex Cloud.

The graphical interface is fully customizable and suitable for any application context, optimized for viewing on smartphones and tablets. Configuration of KNX functions is fast and simplified.

Delégo Server allows full control of all building functions and the creation of advanced scenarios and logic (time sequences, conditions, mathematical operations and time schedules) using simple and intuitive graphical tools; it also enables the management of events and alarms via push notifications or e-mail.

Configuration is carried out via web pages by connecting directly to the server and does not require programming skills for customization.

The server natively supports, without the need for additional licenses, the KNX, Modbus, Matter and M-Bus protocols, ensuring high interoperability with next-generation devices and systems.

Delégo Mini is the entry-level version of the Ekinex supervision system, ideal for small KNX installations. It offers the same functionality and performance as Delégo Server, with the sole limitation of 200 KNX group addresses, expandable to 500 with an upgrade licence, making it the ideal solution for compact and optimized projects.

Delégo Release Focus 2.8

Delégo Release 2.8 introduces a Matter Bridge for universal ecosystem compatibility, distributed authentication for KNX card readers to enhance large-scale reliability, and a new license to expand the Delégo Mini capacity to 500 group addresses.

1. MATTER BRIDGE

Thanks to the integrated Matter Bridge introduced in this version of Delégo Server, it is now possible to control the KNX buildings directly in the Apple Home app and Siri assistant.

The pairing procedure is extremely simple. After having selected the desired widgets to be exposed, scan the QR code generated by Delégo Server in the Apple Home app. The wizard guides the user in adding the widgets, settings the names and placing them in the appropriate rooms:

The Matter bridge integrated in Delégo Server is compatible not only with Apple Homekit, but also with the other Matter ecosystems - Samsung SmarThings, Amazon Alexa and Google Home - and 3rd party controllers.

2. KNX CARD READERS / HOLDERS INTEGRATION

Our new KNX Card readers (EK-TO2-TP) and holders (EK-TI2-TP) are now fully integrated into the Guest Room Management of Delégo Server. The latest version of the access control system introduces distributed authentication by managing “white lists” directly within the KNX card readers and card holders.

While the system still supports centralized validation (via the server), the distributed strategy is recommended for large-scale installations. By delegating the validation process to the individual readers, the system achieves higher performance and increased reliability, ensuring access to the rooms even if server communication is temporarily interrupted.

3. DELÉGO MINI UPGRADE LICENSE

Previously, expansion options were reserved exclusively for the Standard version of Delègo. With this latest update, we have removed that barrier for the “little one” in the family:

The original threshold of 200 KNX group addresses of Delègo Mini can now be expanded. Thanks to a new upgrade license, you can add 300 extra addresses, bringing the total capacity to 500 group addresses.

It is common for projects to evolve during the construction phase or for clients to request additional features later on. In such cases, the 200-address limit could feel restrictive.

From now on you no longer need to replace the hardware if your project requirements grow. By simply activating a license, the Delègo Server Mini becomes the ideal solution for mid-sized apartments or offices requiring more functions.

4. KNX DEVICES FIRMWARE UPDATE

The most recent KNX devices introduced in our catalogue offer the possibility to update their firmware through the KNX bus.

This operation is normally done with a dedicated software to be installed on the system integrator’s computer.

Starting from the 2.8 version, Delégo Server introduces the possibility to perform the firmware update of Ekinex KNX devices installed in the building, directly from its web interface, making this operation easier especially when operating from remote.

5. KNX SECURE ENHANCEMENTS

Ekinex places great emphasis on security and continues to invest in extending support for KNX Secure within Delégo Server.

Starting from release 2.6 Delégo Server supports the KNX data secure, meaning that it is able to exchange encrypted telegrams on the bus with KNX secure devices, through its integrated KNX interface.

In this release we introduced also the support for the KNX IP secure, giving the possibility to protect the communication with a secure KNX IP interface or router on the IP network, in those buildings where this approach is preferred instead of the internal port.

Furthermore, starting from release 2.8 it is possible to program secure KNX devices through the ETS remoting of Delégo Server, even when not on-site with the cloud VPN (a function previously available only for non-secure devices).
