Halogen (lamp)

Lamp consisting of a glass bulb, filled with a halogen-based gas, and a tungsten filament. When the filament is glowing the tungsten evaporates; when it is cooling down the tungsten settles on it again, realising a cyclic process

HBES

Home and Building Electronic Systems: name used in the EN 50090 standard by the Technical Committee TC 205 of CENELEC for electronic systems dedicated to residential and non-residential buildings

HCL

Human Centric Lighting (HCL), tailoring artificial lighting specifically to the needs of the user in order to achieve the maximum lighting quality. Colour temperature, illuminance levels, and distribution are regulated to reproduce more closely natural conditions

HVAC

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, acronym that refers to products, systems and applications that allow to maintain desired environmental conditions in a building

Hydronic (system)

Distribution system for building heating and/or cooling that uses a conveying fluid (generally water) for the thermal energy transfer
