Parcolago residence

Application Context

With a promise already contained in its name, the municipality of Paradiso, at the southern entrance to Lugano, is home to the Residenza Parco Lago, a complex of 120 class A++ flats surrounded by greenery, built to the highest standards of comfort, using state-of-the-art construction systems and technologies.

Designed by studio Renzetti & Partners, the flats of the Parco Lago Lugano residence are located near Casa Vassalli, one of the city's oldest buildings. Developed on a gross area of about 14,000 square metres, the new residential area consists of five buildings of seven storeys above ground.

Client's Requests

Some of the most important aspects of the project followed by architect Ivan Testa are aimed at energy efficiency and the integration of all systems both for the management of the common areas and within the flats:

• Recovery of kinetic energy from the lifts
• Use of water from the lake for heating, cooling and sanitary purposes
• Photovoltaic system
• Underfloor heating and cooling system
• Ligth Rail lighting system with customised scenarios
• Automated shutter control for energy optimisation and living comfort
• Integration of flat management on a single device
