Application context
The Dom Swobodny project is located in a green setting, surrounded by nature in the village of Toruń, Poland. The idea of a free-form house stems from the desire to shape the outdoor experience in harmony with the lifestyle, climate and needs of those who live there. The house has sliding walls, positioned both on the side facing the lake and on the west-facing veranda, which allow the living and dining areas to be transformed into covered extensions of the terrace, creating a continuous dialogue between inside and outside. Each wall can be closed individually, offering a flexible configuration of the rooms in response to wind, cold or the need for privacy.
Client's requirements
The clients wanted a space that would adapt perfectly to their lifestyle and respond simply and efficiently to their needs. The apartment is extremely bright, thanks to the large windows and the choice of light-coloured wood materials and surfaces, which blend in with the natural environment outside.
A fireplace integrated into the thermal storage wall separating the bedroom from the living area not only heats the interior in winter but also makes the terrace usable in spring and autumn, extending the liveability of the home throughout the year.
Ekinex solutions
The project integrates automation solutions to make the home intuitive and easy to live in. Ekinex wall-mounted products from the FF Series, 4-button TQQ version with Nickel finish sockets, were chosen to control the lighting, motorised systems and heating.
